They say “mad dogs and English men go out in the mid day sun.” Well I would say “mad dogs and super talented Wedding Suppliers go to a styled shoot on the coldest day of the year”! A styled shoot set in the Beautiful settings of Taverham Hall School on a cold and snowy November day was the perfect setting for my team and I to showcase our fantastic range of wedding makeup and wedding hair that we can offer for winter brides.

The theme for the wedding shoot was Autumn / Winter using rich oranges and deep cognac colours, to bring richness, warmth and colour to a cold winters day. As is often the case, Winter Weddings are overlooked; with Brides wanting a beautiful summers day for their Wedding Day. However some of the most beautiful and stunning colours can be found in the colder months, the rich burnt umber’s, the deep purples and vibrant reds, all colours which look stunning for an Autumn Wedding.

Gina Manning from Gina Manning Photography was our photographer for the day, Gina has such a talent for bringing out the best in her clients, she is fun and bubbly and is passionate about photography, all great attributes for any great Wedding Photographer. Gina works in a relaxed style which helps put couples at ease, complimenting the light, airy, and romantic feel which make her images look timeless.

Tom Brown, founder of Studeomedia was our videographer for the day, he has over 5 years experience of filming weddings with a creative and fun approach to filming. Tom is great to work with, putting all of us at ease whilst being filmed. With wedding films becoming increasingly popular, Studeomedia is definitely a must have at any wedding. To quote one of his Brides.

“We absolutely love our wedding film. The way Tom edits his films is so beautiful and we are so happy we chose to have our wedding filmed. The trailer is stunning, and still makes me cry… even in its hundredth viewing!”

You can’t have a wedding or a styled shoot for that matter without flowers! Oopsadaisy is a locally based florist with an abundance of charm and elegance. Silvia the owner and Sarah stunned us with some beautiful floral creations which incorporated feathers and seasonal flowers for the shoot.

Silvia made the most beautiful hair garland which was a great favourite, using texture with pheasant feathers and roses, an absolute must for any Autumnal shoot. The Dress! We were so fortunate to have the very talented Katrine Mogensen for Bridal Dresses, Katrine made 3 exceptional dresses and here is what she has to say about her unique style.

Pre-Raphaelite romance infuses my soft, elegant and feminine designs, a vintage quality but in a truly modern way! Floating rich silk satins or matt crepes with delicate lace on the shoulder or back. A wedding dress for all year round! Floating in the warm summer breeze or when adding the right accessories the dress can be transformed into a stunning Autumnal Wedding Gown.

For me this photo shoot was a great platform to showcase our Bridal Hair and Make up at Amanda Steed Make up.

It didn’t hurt having some of the most talented Wedding Suppliers in Norfolk and Suffolk come and join me at this fantastic location. It was mentioned on the day that it was all about the eyes! We used rich golds and sumptuous bronzes with a touch of deep berry colours, luscious lashes and liquid liner producing a striking look. However I had some stunning models to work with, porcelain skin and beautiful hair so it really wasn’t difficult to make beautiful images!

I hope you like what we have achieved in our shoot and look forward to meeting some wonderful Brides in the upcoming years.

With Kindest regards
Amanda Steed
